It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.  Matthew 4:4

After May 21, 2011, I noticed a division began to occur between those that believed that the door to salvation had shut and those that did not. Then after Oct 21, 2011 came and went, a division began to occur between those that believed that the church age had ended in 1988, and those that were moving away from that teaching. These two teachings did not feel right to me because in the 25 years that I had spent studying Scriptures, I could not recall any verses that could solidly either prove, or disprove these teachings, and I needed proof. I then decided that I should just go back to basic Biblical truths while at the same time searching for irrefutable proof; then I remembered this verse, "It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.  Matthew 4:4"

I realized that this verse was such an important basic Biblical truth, that I felt it was a key to helping me begin to clear a lot of doubts that I had about these new and what I considered to be, "man made" doctrines. Then I decided to make a list of passages that I would label as "Basic Biblical truths". This way, I felt, if there were questions in my mind about certain teachings, the teaching would need to pass the test in the light of these Basic Biblical truths, and if it violated even one of these Bible truths, then I had a way of proving that it was not a sound doctrine. I began my list one by one, and started using these Basic Biblical truths on each docrine that I was testing, and I could see that my method was working, and that it was a good and sound method. This list could have contained thousands of verses, but here is the list that I compiled for this article.

Basic Biblical truth #1 - It is written, Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceedeth out of the mouth of God.  Matt 4:4

Basic Biblical truth #2 - For I testify unto every man that heareth the words of the prophecy of this book, If any man shall add unto these things, God shall add unto him the plagues that are written in this book.  Rev 22:18

Basic Biblical truth #3 - And if any man shall take away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God shall take away his part out of the book of life, and out of the holy city, and from the things which are written in this book.  Rev 22:19

A doctrine that teaches, "Judgment Day occured on May 21" is in direct violation of the first 2 basic Bible truths listed above. These words did not proceed out of the mouth of God, (violation of Basic Bible truth #1) and are also words that have been added to the "words of the prophescy of this book," (violation of Basic Bible truth #2) Then I searched for scripture, (which are words that proceed out of the mouth of God), that would clearly disprove these 2 "man-made" doctrines regarding the end of the church age and the end of salvation, and this is what I found.

Basic Biblical truth #4 - He that hath an ear, let him hear what the Spirit saith unto the churches; He that overcometh shall not be hurt of the second death.  Rev 2:11

Bible truth #4 is clearly teaching that those that overcome will be saved, but can you see to whom this message is being directed to? It is clearly and undeniably being directed to the churches! The words of Rev 2:11 ARE words that have "proceedeth out of the mouth of God". How then could this message be true along with a message that the church age has ended? Oh, but wait, let's not forget Basic Bible truth #1, the words "the door is shut" and "the church age has ended" are NOT words that are not found in scripture, therefore they are NOT words that have "proceeded out of the mouth of God", and are therefore in direct violation of Basic Bible truth #1. Yet the sad truth is that these messages are being posted on Facebook on a daily basis as Biblical truths. Now to move on to Basic Bible truth #5.

Basic Biblical truth #5 - Preach the word; be instant in season, out of season; reprove, rebuke, exhort with all longsuffering and doctrine. For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables. But watch thou in all things, endure afflictions, do the work of an evangelist, make full proof of thy ministry. 2 Timothy 4:2-5

Basic Bible truth #5 is warning us about those that will turn away from basic Bible truths, which ARE sound doctrine (which are the words that proceed out of the mouth of God). 2 Timothy 4 warns us that "The time will come when people will not endure sound doctrine and will heap to themselved teachers," and "they will turn their ears away from the truth." Notice what 2 Timothy 4 goes on to teach; that we should "do the work of an evangelist." What is the work of an evangelist? The work of an evangelist is to preach the words that proceed out of the mouth of God to the churches. What other work is there of an evangelist? Would an evangist want to teach that the church age has ended and that salvation has ended?

But now comes the sad truth; that of basic Bible truths #6, #7, and #8.

Basic Biblical truth #6 - I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.  John 9:4

Basic Biblical truth #7 - And when they shall have finished their testimony, the beast that ascendeth out of the bottomless pit shall make war against them, and shall overcome them, and kill them. And their dead bodies shall lie in the street of the great city, which spiritually is called Sodom and Egypt, where also our Lord was crucified. And they of the people and kindreds and tongues and nations shall see their dead bodies three days and an half, and shall not suffer their dead bodies to be put in graves.  Rev 11:7-9

Basic Biblical truth #8 - And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved; but for the elect's sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days.  Mark 13:20

Bible truths #6, #7, and #8 are not messages of hope for the future but that does not mean we should stop doing the work of an evangelist because our teachers are telling us that salvation has ended. God commands us to "keep" the prophesis that are written in God's book; we are to keep to our basic Bible truths, which are the words that "proceed from the mouth of God", not the words that have proceeded out of the mouths of our teachers.

Basic Biblical truth #9 - He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me; and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him.  John 14:21

Basic Biblical truth #10 - Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.  Mark 16:15

Basic Biblical truth #11 - How beautiful upon the mountains are the feet of him that bringeth good tidings, that publisheth peace; that bringeth good tidings of good, that publisheth salvation.
Isaiah 52:7

Once a teacher begins to drift away from preaching the words that have proceeded from the mouth of God, and is constantly inserting "his or her own" message to others, that teacher is stepping on dangerous ground. For example, teaching that Judgment Day occured on May 21, 2011, are NOT words that have proceeded from the mouth of God, and are words that violate MANY basic Biblical truths, and therefore I would call it nothing short of blasphemy.
