Chapter 17 - The Mark of the Beast: Transhumanism 

The idea that the mark of the beast will be a tattoo or RFID chip is completely absurd. First of all, the Bible teaches that only those who do not belong to Christ will receive the mark. In Chapter 10 I discussed how all the true believers will become sealed after the opening of the seventh seal, and once they have been sealed, then all those who were not sealed will worship the beast.

Rev 13:8  All who dwell on the earth will worship him, whose names have not been written in the Book of Life of the Lamb slain from the foundation of the world. 

The act of worshiping this beast is the factor that will cause a person to receive the mark of the beast.

Rev 13:16-18 [The beast] causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for it is the number of a man: His number is 666.

The mark of the beast will be something that only the unsaved are going to receive, and the reason the mark is only found on either the forehead or the right hand, is because receiving this mark involves the act of worship, or servitude; it signifies an allegiance with, and or love of, Satan (even if the person does not know it themselves). There is a theory that the number 666 signifies that a person will have become two-thirds human and one third beast, or in other words, they will become transhumanized. This theory makes the most sense, in my opinion because of the statement the Bible makes in Rev 9 that all those who receive the mark of the beast will not be able to die.

Rev 9:3-6 Then out of the smoke locusts came upon the earth. And to them was given power, as the scorpions of the earth have power. They were commanded not to harm the grass of the earth, or any green thing, or any tree, but only those men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads. And they were not given authority to kill them, but to torment them for five months. Their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it strikes a man. In those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will desire to die, and death will flee from them.
  

Another reason this makes sense is because all those who belong to Christ and do not receive the mark of the beast will be able to die, after which Christ will be able to resurrect them on the Last Day and translate their bodies into their glorified heavenly bodies. I also believe that the buying and selling of Rev 13 does not refer to physically buying and selling merchandise, but that it signifies the ability to exchange spiritual worship in return for items of value. Only those who worship the beast system will be able to receive items of value in exchange for their worship; it will have nothing to do with money. When the final tribulation begins, people will no longer be going to their jobs every day; life as we now know it will be no more. If a person wants food, they will need to worship the beast system for it. The mark of the beast will involve the transfer of the Devil’s DNA coding into people, which will make them immortal. It may come in the form of a virus, we don’t know yet, but true Christians will not be able to receive the mark because they will be completely protected by the seal of God. In a recent movie called “Lucy”, a woman’s body is inundated with a chemical which begins to transform her DNA. As time progresses, she begins to gain super-human abilities which ultimately gives her immortality.
   

Rev 9:3-6 is very clear that the demonic locusts that come up from the bottomless pit will not be able to harm those who have the seal of God, and those who they do harm, will not be able to die, and will be tormented with great pain. All those who are not sealed with God will not be able to die; but those who are saved will be able to die in Christ, and will be resurrected on the Last Day to live eternally in the kingdom of God. Maybe there is more to vampires and werewolves than just fictitious stories; and maybe transhumanism and immortality is something that has already been in existence for some time.
