Chapter 9 – Sudden Destruction 

The Bible teaches that sudden destruction will come at a time when the world is at peace. 
 

1 Thessalonians 5:3 For when they say, "Peace and safety!" then sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a pregnant woman; and they shall not escape. 
    
Sudden destruction will come suddenly, when we least expect it, and it is very definitely related to the triggering of the Rapture. As we see in Luke 17, Jesus teaches that the world will be continuing perfectly normally up until the day when there is sudden destruction, at which time the Rapture will take place.  
   

Luke 17:28-36 Likewise as it was also in the days of Lot: They ate, they drank, they bought, they sold, they planted, they built; but on the day that Lot went out of Sodom it rained fire and brimstone from heaven and destroyed them all. Even so will it be in the day when the Son of Man is revealed. In that day, he who is on the housetop, and his goods are in the house, let him not come down to take them away. And likewise the one who is in the field, let him not turn back. Remember Lot's wife. Whoever seeks to save his life will lose it, and whoever loses his life will preserve it. I tell you, in that night there will be two men in one bed: the one will be taken and the other will be left. Two women will be grinding together: the one will be taken and the other left. Two men will be in the field: the one will be taken and the other left."  

   

The exact nature of the events that will bring about this “sudden destruction”, only those who are making plans for its execution know for sure, but I believe the Bible teaches there will be an asteroid impact involved (see Rev 8:8; 18:10; and18:21). CERN has the capability of creating a magnetic field 100 times greater than the Earth and is scheduled to start up in March 2015. According to CERN headquarters, the purpose of CERN is to re-create the Big Band and also search for the “God particle”, but many people believe that its real purpose is to open a portal or stargate into another dimension. Even Stephen Hawking stated his concerns that that this experiment could collapse the fabric of space and time and “destroy the universe”. Author Stephen Quayle is also concerned stating, “The men who would play God, in searching for the God particle, are truly going to find more than they bargained for as they open the gates of hell, and they will find inter-dimensional beings who have a taste for human flesh and humanities destruction. Most scientists, in lacking an understanding of the ‘supernatural entities’ that are going to confront them, are way beyond their ability to comprehend, let alone control, the forces of Pandora’s box that will be released.”
